We are extremely saddened at the death of our president, Stacy Hargrove, age 44, on January 14, 2009 at Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Stacy was the Hilo Habitat president for the past three years as well as the Director of Building for all of her five years on the board. She brought a tremendous passion and vitality to the organization which will be sorely missed. Stacy was very committed to the partner families and what it takes as an organization to make more affordable housing possible.

Born in Shelby, Montana, Stacy was the office manager for Concrete Pete construction firm. Please join the Hilo Habitat ohana at a memorial celebration of Stacy's life on Saturday, February 21, from 1-4 p.m. at her residence, 16-343 Pohaku Drive, Keaau. Stacy's husband, John "Pete" Hargrove asks that memorial contributions be sent to Hale Aloha O Hilo Habitat for Humanity, 140 Kinoole St., Hilo, HI 96720.
