We always appreciate new or gently used building materials, tools, home goods, furniture, or similar items at the ReStore.
In recognition of the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, seven Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Hawaii are joining with Lowe’s for “Hammers for Heroes,” a state-wide project to revitalize or construct Habitat homes in partnership with veteran homeowners and veteran and active-duty volunteers. Build projects will take place from Dec. 1 -7 in Eleele, Hilo, Honolulu, Hoolehua, Kailua, Waianae and Wailuku.
Hale Aloha O Hilo Habitat for Humanity is participating
in Hammers for Heroes with a series of A Brush with Kindness projects geared toward improving accessability for veterans to their homes.
Three Hilo Habitat for Humanity partner families received home gardening kits in October.
